Severe Tropical Cyclone Pam is regarded as one of the worst natural disasters in the history of Vanuatu. "Okeanos", a double hulled polynesian canoe and its crew helped with disaster relief work by delivering crops, seedlings, water, medical supplies and other goods to the communities in need and also enabled members of international aid organizations to visit these remote islands within the South Pacific Ocean and evaluate the damages and needs.
